Description
Élevée Vineyard, planted in 1998 and located in the heart of the Dundee Hills sub-AVA, gives us classic characteristics of a sweet textured palate with red fruit and spice. Vineyard owners, Tom and France Fitzpatrick, care for each individual vine, always looking to grow better fruit each vintage for winemakers who source from their site. With limited fruit from this small 4-acre vineyard, we carefully select blocks with clonal plantings of Dijon 115, 777, and Pommard to produce a delicate and well-rounded wine.
Perfumed brown sugar, raspberry tea and dark dense wine-soaked cherries draw you in to find underlying hints of allspice and anise. On the palate, delicate, sweet bramble and juicy currant are supported by refined tannins. Earl grey and crisp fresh plum are intertwined with violet and rosé culminating with a fresh finish.
